Dyslexia Therapy
Is your child identified with Dyslexia? Your child will receive evidence based and effective instruction which includes these five components:
Multi-sensory- teaching using all neurological pathways (visual, auditory, and kinesthetic) simultaneously to enhance memory and learning. (IDA, 2008)
Direct- efficient presentations with immediate and clear feedback
Explicit- clear teaching and modeling
Systematic and Cumulative- progresses from basic to more difficult concepts and is systematically reviewed
Comprehensive and Inclusive- Levels of language are taught including sounds, symbols, meaningful word parts, word and phrase meaning, sentences, longer passages, and social uses of language
After performing an introductory assessment then paired with their individualized education plan, a multi-sensory program will provide discovery in their learning which will lead to self-confidence, skills for retrieving information, and an ownership of their learning.
